Frequently Asked Questions

Q. What times can I take my driving lessons?

A. Driving lessons can be structured to suit your lifestyle. Driving lessons are available during weekdays, evenings and weekends.

Q. What will I do on my first driving lesson?

A. That depends on whether you’ve any experience behind the wheel. Novice drivers will be taught about car controls and safety, helping to gain confidence behind the wheel. Your first session will also include some driving along quiet roads.

Q. Will I be taking my driving test in our car?

A. Yes, if you like – our intructor car is ideal for taking your test, and has helped the driving test success of many new drivers.

Q. How much do your driving lessons cost?

A. Driving lessons can cost less than you think! Our driving lessons start at only €35 per hour, and you can even win free lessons if you recommend a friend!

Q. What do I need before I can get behind the wheel?

A. Before starting your driving lessons you need to be 17 years old, with a provisional driving licence. That’s all!

Q. Can you collect me from one place and drop me off in another?

A. Of course. We operate in and around the Finglas area, so we’re happy to go anywhere within reason. This is ideal if you’re at college in Finglas and wish to drive home to a surrounding Finglas village.

Q. How many lessons will I need before I’m ready to take my driving test?

A. We all learn at different rates, so it’s impossible to say how many hours each student will take to reach the standard suitable to take their test. Suffice to say, though, that we will get you there as quickly as possible, and we won’t keep you hanging on longer than you need. Why not take advantage of our block bookings or driving lesson packages to get through your test in one hit?

Q. What happens if I fail my driving test?

A. Don’t worry – it can happen to the best of us. If you fail your test, we will help you improve your skills to pass next time.

Q. What if I need to cancel a driving lesson?

A. We ask you to give at least 24 hours’ notice if you can’t make a lesson. Your booking will mean someone else can’t take a lesson, so we have to charge in full for cancellations made without the full advance warning.

Q. How can I pay for my driving lessons?

A. We accepts cash, cheques or credit cards on PayPal.

Q. How do I contact Get In Gear / Nadine?
